I was born in Hong Kong and immigrated to the U.S. when I was eleven. New to the English language, I had spent a lot of my time gazing at people and objects, and expressed myself by drawing and making pictures. Now a digital character painter at Pixar and a busy mom, I continue to love painting and drawing, especially people. 

My favorite medium is oil paint because it gives me the freedom of layering brushy textures and brings a lustrous quality to my subjects.
